Debbie Williams

Mrs. Delphia Elaine Williams known to all as Debbie went home to be one of Gods special angles on Saturday, December 15, 2012 after a long fought illness. She was born on December 16, 1948 in Potters Chapel. The beautiful daughter of Sarah June Davis Potter and Everett Potter. She was born again into Gods Loving hands on October 10, 2008 after reading from John chapter 10, verse 9.She married the one and only love of her life, James Williams on June 18, 1966 while he was serving in the United States Army. She stayed home to finished school and graduated from Wartburg Central High School in 1967. Later after having her two children, she attended Vocational school in Harriman to be a secretary. She remained a stay at home mom for many years and considered it that was her most important job. She loved being with her children and being able to be there for all their school events. She volunteered many years at Lancing Elementary to spend more time with her children. In Later years she was employed by Morgan Co. Correctional Facility as the assistant Warden Secretary. She loved her job and her fellow employees but was forced into early retirement due to her declining health. Her favorite things in life were spending time with the grandkids, Lauren and Landon and her husband James. Many hours of her life were spent cuddling on the couch drinking coffee and watching cartoons and westerns. She would wake up early every morning to see the grandkids on the bus. Everyone that knew her knew not to call at 1:00 on weekdays because she watched Days of Our Lives. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Williams, parents, Everett and June Davis Potter, brother, Randall Potter.
She is survived by her husband, James Williams,
Daughter, Sandra (Sandy) and Shawn Russell,
Grandchildren, Lauren and Landon Russell
