David Stringfield

David William (Skippy) Stringfield passed away at his home in Charlottesville, Va. August 1, 2016. David was born January 20, 1952 in Oakdale, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parent, Roy W. and Mary Stringfield

Paternal grandpartents, Roy and Bertha Stringfield

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Stringfield of Charlottesville

Step-son, D.C. Stokes and wife

Grandchildren, Tye, Sara, Stephanie, &  Bailey

Great-grandchildren, Trent, Jocelynn and Raelynn

Siblings, Leroy, Darlene, Joe, Cathy, Kenny, Randy, Ricky, Mike, Mona, Mary Ann, Brenda and Glenna Mae

Uncle, Franklin (Bunk) Stringfield

Aunts, Barbara and Mable

Several nieces and nephews

And best friend Jimmy Weatherly and wife

David served in the Vietnam War with 118th  combat engineers.

The family will have a small memorial service September 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Stringfield Farm in the Piney Community.
