David Shelton

David Shelton, 72 of Oakdale, Tn. passed away on April 15, 2016 at his home.

He was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church in Oakdale, Tn.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Anna Ooten Shelton of Oakdale, Tn. Children, Sherry (Glen) Powers of Oakdale; Shirley (Jeff) Smith of Harriman; David Shelton and Dwight Shelton both from Knoxville, Tn. Grandchildren, Coty and Ryan Powers, Kristen and Tyler Smith, Ryder and Braden Shelton and Kaitlyn and Morgan Shelton. Great-grandchildren, Koby, Memphis and Raelyn Powers. Also survived by several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg, Tn.

Funeral will be Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Oak Baptist Church in Oakdale with Bro. Danny Jenkins officiating. Internment will follow in the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakdale, Tn.
