David Landrum

David W. Landrum, age 70, of Lancing, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024, surrounded by his family. 

David is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Landrum. Grandparents: Charles and Loverne Landrum.

Brother-in-law: Roger Smithers.

Sister-in-law: Vicky (Jeff) Spradlin. 

David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Glenna Smithers Landrum.

Children: David (Renee) Landrum, Adam (Cody) Landrum, Tiffany (Coty) Hughett and Robin Landrum.

Grandchildren: Will, Wyatt, and Waylon Landrum, Noah and Roger Landrum, Jayden and Colton Hamby, Eli, Landen and Louanna Hughett, Skyler (Kenadie) Florian.

Brothers: Jeffrey (Linda) Landrum and Michael (Lisa) Landrum.

Sister-in-laws: Sue (Temple) Thomas, Kathy (Jeff) Moore, and Janice Sexton.

Brother-in-laws: Robert (Burlene) Landrum and James (Georgia) Smithers.

A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

David enjoyed working on cars (specifically his truck and mustang), fishing, gardening, cooking, and family beach trips, but most of all, he enjoyed being called Papaw. 

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Nurse’s at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic in Harriman, his Nurse, Edye, at Oak Ridge Wound Center, and Jordan Keefer with Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care provided.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 2, 2024, from 5pm – 7pm at Schubert’s Funeral Home in Wartburg. The family will hold a private graveside burial on Thursday morning, October 3, 2024, at 11:00am.
