David Allen Dyer, age 68 passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 17, 2025. He spent 40 years working for Acrolac as a Machinist. He also worked for the Morgan County Sheriff’s Dept. As a Volunteer deputy on the weekends, which he loved. When he finally retired, he spent most of his time outside and riding his side by side. In the winter he loved watching our many birds at the feeders.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa (Poppy). He was one of a kind with a gentle soul. He never hesitated to help anyone who asked.
About 6 years ago we were blessed with a dog “Little Bit” who he loved spending time with.
David is preceded in death by his mother and father Mildred and Williams Dyer; brothers Jesse, James, and Billy and one sister Barbara Hall.
He is survived by his wife Martha; daughter Jordan and granddaughter Maggie Adkins; sister Betty Mills; brother-in-law Matthew (Angie) Barr; sisters-in-law Miriam (Dale) Barr and Mary (Ron) Moen and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives who he loved and who loved him. He will truly be missed by all those that knew him.
