Claude Potter

Mr. C. L. Potter (Claude Luther) of Wartburg, passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, October 23, 2010. The Lord let his family and friends have 67 years with him. He will be so very missed by all that knew him. Our hearts are heavy and sad at this time, so please continue to lift our family up in your prayers. C.L. was a member of the Blue Lodge 377 of Wartburg and 32nd degree of Scottish Rite.

He was preceded in death by son, William Michael (Porky) Potter; parents: Claude Shauffer and Margie Potter; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter and Cozetta Justes; brothers-in-law: Junior and Glen Justes; and sister-in-law, Betty Woods.

He is survived by wife and best friend of 43 years, Nancy Justes Potter; sons and daughters-in-law: Walter and April Potter of Kingston and Wayne and Lea Potter of Wartburg; daughter and son-in-law: Missy and Doug Vespie of Lancing; brothers: Roger and Cleo Potter; sister, Emily Kinney; sister-in-law, Carolyn Justes. He is also survived by a lot of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss his jokes and smiling face.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Webb and Rev. Roy Langley officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Armes Chapel Church Cemetery.
