Cindy Phillips of Wartburg, TN

Cindy Marie Phillips gained her heavenly wings on August 3, 2019 at her home in Wartburg surrounded by her family.  She was born June 21, 1969 in Oak Ridge, TN to Charles Homer and Bertha Phillips.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Phillips; son, Charles Ray Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Anthony Carroll; brother, Mickey Phillips; grandson, Jamon Ray Carroll; nephews, Jacob Carroll and Jonathan Phillips.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Hobert Lynn Phillips; father, Charles Homer Phillips of Wartburg; daughters, Shyann, Kaylee, Danielle of Wartburg all of Wartburg, Candy (Eric) Hanes of Jamestown and Ashley Blanco also of Wartburg; sons, Brandon (Angel) Welda, Clayton Phillips and Eddie (Sarah) Rich of Wartburg; sister, Carolyn Welda of Clinton; brother, Michael Phillips of Wartburg; sister-in-law, Darlene Phillips of Clinton; special uncle Lacy Lowe of Smokey Junction and special aunt, Dean Stevens of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Brookly Mae Phillips and Nicholas Phillips of Wartburg and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cindy loved spending time with her good friends, Kay Basler, Linda Rose, Debbie Lively and Wendy Wilson.  She enjoyed riding 4 wheelers and bon fires with her kids and grandkids.  She always wanted to make sure her children and grandchildren were happy and wanted for nothing.  She loved summertime and cooking and canning with her parents.  They also loved scratching lottery tickets together.  Cindy was a very kind and loving person helping anyone in need, especially children and the elderly.  She loved her family and community and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Dean and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating.  Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Hill Cemetery in Briceville, TN.
