Charles Scroggins

Charles Gary Scroggins, age 63 of Sunbright, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 26, 2012. He is preceded in death by daughter: Lisa, his parents: John and Vannie Scroggins, three brothers: Merville, John and Dale, and one sister: Linda

Surviving is his wife of 45 years: Lois Ann
One son: Brandon and wife Christy
Two wonderful Grandchildren: Tyler and Kaitlin
Five brothers: Maynard, Fred, George, David and Joe
Four sisters: Evelyn, Mary, Melissa and Carol Ann
Several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends

Charles was a Veteran of the US Armed Forces serving in the Vietnam War in the Signal Corp Division. He retired from the National Park Service in 2009. Charles was an ordained minister and was currently serving as Pastor of his home church of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Sunbright. He was deeply devoted to God and his church both of whom he loved dearly.

Charles fought his battle with cancer for 12 years relying on Jesus as his anchor for strength and courage. His race on earth is finished and he is home with Jesus. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many many friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00p.m. with Bro. Jeff Dyer, Bro. Kevin Webb, Bro. Steve Gadd and Bro. Josh Kidd officiating. Graveside Services will be at the Sunbright Cemetery Wednesday, at 11:00a.m.
