Charles Phillips

Charles Ray Phillips age 24 passed away July 29, 2014. He was the son of Cindy and Hobert Phillips of Wartburg and Biological Father; Clayton Welda of Lenoir City. Ray was born on August 26, 1989 at Oak Ridge Hospital. He graduated from Wartburg High School in 2008 then became employed with Odom Construction where he was a hanger and framer then became a Foreman. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Hobert and Maxine Phillips of New River, Great Grandparents: Clate and Ernie Lowe of Smoky Junction and Carl and Louise Phillips of New River, Uncles: Mickey Phillips, Tommy Lowe, Jackie Lowe, Roger Hinkle, Roy Lee Phillips, Frank Phillips, Wilbert Phillips, Aunts: Oramae Patterson, Betty Waite, Cousins: Buddy Carroll and Ronnie Hinkle.

He is survived along with his parents by his Fiancee' Alice and her children; Olivia, Timmy and Jake
Brothers: Clayton Ray Jr. and wife Anna England Phillips, Wartburg and Brandon and wife Emily Welda, Lenoir City
Sisters: Shayann, Kaylee and Candy Phillips and Ashley Blanco all of Wartburg
Grandparents: Bertha and Charles Homer Phillips of Wartburg (whom Charles Ray was named after) and Ruth and Larry Welda of Lenoir City.
Uncles: Michael Phillips, Larry Welda, Ronnie Hinkle, Byrd Phillips, Lacy Lowe, F.C. Phillips, Sherman Phillips and Joe Lowe

Ray loved to hunt, fish, camp, go gensinging, and travel with his work company. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, grandparents and all his family. He was a young, loving caring son and great grandson, loving brother and uncle. He will be greatly and deeply missed by all family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Rev. Jimmy Dean Byrge officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:00PM Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
