Mrs. Charity E. Lowe, 86 of Lenoir City, formerly of Lancing, passed away at the home of her daughter and loving caretaker Brenda Freels. She loved to get outside and walk, and walked into Heaven on June 26, 2009. She was of the Baptist faith, a loving mother and grandmother.
She was known for her great Sunday dinner get-togethers.
She was preceded in death by husbands; Luke Lowe and Edward Lowe, parents; Franklin and Maude Goodman; brothers; Franklin "J R" and Alvin Goodman; sisters; Bertha Swint, Eva Jones, Ruth Hickle, Pauline Lucado; grandsons; Greg Manning and Chucky Lowe.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Donual and Becky of Clinton; Marvin of Alabama; Vernon and Teresa of Wartburg, Charles and Laura of Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law; Agnes Manning of Ohio; Brenda and Bob Freels of Lenior City; Alice Lowe of Wartburg and Evelyn and Donald McPeters of Wartburg.
Nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Sisters; Susie Norman and Jo Ann Campbell of Wartburg, Louise Risen of Kentucky, Ara Davis of Ohio.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Saturday June 27, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Bro. David Goodman officiating.
Graveside service will be Sunday at 11:00 A.M. in the Montgomery Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the church of your choice.
