Carrie LEDFORD

Mrs. Carrie E. Ledford, age 58 of Wartburg, TN passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville. Carrie worked as a CNA for the Life Care Center of Morgan County in Wartburg. She worked there for 25 years, where she enjoyed taking care of the residents. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing, reading, and playing Tetris.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Willard Lee Ledford; parents: Truman and Mary Cochran of Douglasville, GA; In-laws: Truman and Maggie Ledford of Wartburg; and brother-in-law: Terry "Wimpy" Ledford.

She is survived by her children: Truman and Mindy Ledford of Lavergne, TN, James "Jamie" and Shannon Ledford of Wartburg, and Penny and Jason Hall of Wartburg; five grandchildren: Nick and Holly Ledford of Oakdale, Austin, Hannah, and Haven Hall of Wartburg; nine brothers and sisters: Paulett and Bill Vaughan, Nancy and Ronnie Follsom, Lialer George, Elvery and Jerry Flatsoussis, Jane Cochran, Doc Cochran, Warren Cochran, Gladis and Art Tilly, and Dana and Scott Kelly, all of Douglasville, GA; and nineteen nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday October 20, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Bro. Johnny Vespie officiating.
Graveside service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the Montgomery Cemetery, Lancing, TN.
