Carl Davis, Coalfield, TN

Carl L. Davis Jr. 77 of Coalfield passed away at Methodist Medical Center Saturday December 10, 2016.  He retired from Y-12 plant in OakRidge and Teamsters Union.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Davis, also his parents Carl Jr and Mary Davis, and siblings Alma, Amy, Betty, Dorothy, Lorene, and Evertt.

Mr. Davis is survived by his son Dean and wife Tina of Coalfield, his daughter  Tammie and husband Phil Shirks of  Wartburg. Grandchildren Brittany and husband Ben Thomas of Oakridge, Tyler Moles of Coalfield, Courtney Davis and Charles McClure of Petros, and Christina and husband Bryan Franklin of Coalfield.  His brother Dan Davis of Wartburg and two sisters Sue Angel of Wartburg and Geneive Williams of Deer lodge.

He was so happy to be awaiting the birth of his two great grandsons Bryton  Franklin and Kaysen  McClure. Along with a host of  friends and other family members.  His interest were, his two boys as he called them, his two Shelties Buckshot and Gunner.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral following at 8pm with Dr. Billy Edmonds Officiating.  Graveside service will be Wednesday 1pm at the Western Cemetery Coalfield, TN
