Brenda Phillips

Brenda Sue Phillips Hensley, a loving wife, mother and sister went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2014 surrounded by her husband and three daughters. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for over a year. Her faith in God, Strong will to live and her tenacious and feisty spirit was an inspiration to others and she will be greatly missed. Brenda is preceded in death by her father; Kyle Kennedy, brother; Carvin Kennedy, father-in-law; Glen Hensley, mother-in-law; Joanne Hensley, nephews; Phillip Armes and Brian Hensley.

She is survived by her Husband of 40 years; Jerry Hensley
Mother; Nancy Kennedy
Daughters; Nancy Ward and son-in-law; David, Michelle Bertram and son-in-law Chuck, Melanie Garner and son-in-law Chad
Grandchildren; Erika Gorsuch and husband Tyler, Jordan Ward, Nathaniel Bertram, Brittany Bertram, Brooks Garner, Blake Garner and Bryce Garner
Her precious Great-Granddaughter: Destini Ward
Siblings include: Linda Lowe and brother-in-law Lonnie, Kurlin Kennedy and sister-in-law Patricia, Wanda Armes and brother-in-law William, Norma Armes and brother-in-law Ronald, Dean Bunch and brother-in-law Lonnie

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 13, 2104 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Bro. Pitney Seiber and Bro. Jonathan Lloyd officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Petros Cemetery, Petros.
