Bonnie Jones, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN

Bonnie Jones, age 96, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN passed away at Traylor Retirement Center in Alabama. She was born in Union County, August 5, 1922.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Tennie Sweat; son, Norman Eugene Jones; brothers and sisters, Emmitt Sweat, Jesse Sweat, Howard Sweat, Hubert Sweat, Cloman Sweat, Elizabeth Harmon, Orpha Holloway and Stella Davis.

She is survived by her children, Bobbie Strother and Irwin (Linda) Jones; sisters and brothers, Lucy Sweat, Minnie White, Brice Sweat, Verlin Sweat and Houston Sweat; 4 grandchildren, Angela Heister, Derek Jones, Lisa Maxwell and Ken Jones; 4 great grandchildren, Bobby Lynn, Jonathan Maxwell, Stephen Maxwell and Gregory Jones; 2 great great grandchildren, Kayla Harvey and Bennett Maxwell and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mark Caldwell officiating. Interment to follow in the Union Cemetery in the Joyner Community.
