Bobby Sexton, formerly of Sunbright

Bobby W. Sexton, age 85, passed away March 17, 2021 at NHC Healthcare Cookeville.  Bobby joined the Navy right out of high school.  He loved mechanic work and loved building engines.  Him and Dot loved traveling the world together.  He took great pride and joy in planting and growing the fruits of his garden.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie & Reba Human Sexton.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Reynolds Sexton; 2 daughters, Marlene Jarrolds and Charlene Kennedy; 1 grandson, Jacob Jarrolds; brother, Harold Sexton; 2 nephews, H.D. Sexton and Matthew (Lisa) Sexton; 2 great nieces, Hannah Smith and Sarah Barnes and host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 19, 2021 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright from 4:00-6:00 p.m. EST with the funeral at 6:00 p.m. EST with Pastor David Wilkerson officiating.  Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. EST at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Kerbela Shriners, 315 Mimosa Ave. Knoxville, TN  37920 or St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN  99290.
