Billie McAdams

On December 9th, 2023, Billie Joe McAdams, age 57, of Wartburg, TN, finished her life here on earth. She was loved and will be missed by many. Billie was a cosmetologist who worked from home and also in the nursing facility where she truly enjoyed her work and making the residents there feel special. She had a unique personality; one nobody could forget. She loved to laugh and cut up, loved her children and grandchildren and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking for others, working in her gardens, camping and fishing on the river and listening and dancing to Bluegrass music. Perhaps one of the things she loved the most, and could frequently be heard doing, was playing her piano and singing along to gospel hymns. She both loved and feared the Lord at the same time, and she taught her children to do the same. While she will be missed dearly, we can only imagine the joy she must have felt when she finally stepped through the gates of Heaven.

She is preceded in death by mother Mary Katherine Smith, father James Arnold Smith, brother James Arnold Smith Jr. and Sisters Tonya Epperson and Betty Moles.

She is survived by her two daughters Sarah Ward and Beth Foster, sisters Diann Webb, Mary Reagan, Juanita Smith, Charlotte Innis,  Sue Hicks, and Tammy Fowler, grandchildren Damian Lane, Summer Ward, Emily and Addison Foster and multiple nieces and nephews.

The family has chosen to hold a private ceremony at a later time with the scattering and burial of her ashes at Gunter Cemetery in Jamestown, TN, where her father, mother, brother and sister also rest in peace.
