Bill H. Adkisson of Lancing, TN

Bill H. Adkisson, age 86, went to home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2018.  Bill was born on March 6, 1932.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was an active member of Redemption Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lon and Lona Adkisson, Twin Sister:  Betty Phillips, and Brother:  Johnny Adkisson.

He is survived by loving wife of 63 years June Hamby Adkisson

Daughter:  Donna and husband George Melhorn

Son:  Jeff and wife Michelle Adkisson

Grandchildren:  Candace Melhorn-Sexton, Brittany and husband Scott Pafford, Alex and wife Ginger Melhorn, Alyssa and husband Dakota Moss and Logan Adkisson.

Seven Great Grandchildren:  Bradlee, Caden, Blake, Sawyer, Laney, Carter and Sadie

Brother:  Wilburn Adkisson

Also a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

The family would like to thank Bill’s special friends that came to visit during his stay at the hospital and at Life Care of Morgan County, each of you hold a special place in our hearts.  We can’t say enough about how you helped all of us and great care you gave Bill.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 1-2 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg.  Funeral Services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Randal Landrum and Bro. Rick Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lane Cemetery, Lancing.
