Betty Potter, of Lancing, TN

Betty J. Potter of the Potter’s Chapel Community passed away September 6, 2017. She was born on January 19, 1956. She was a member of the Potters Chapel Church in Frankfort, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Vivan Brown; brother, Larry G. Brown.

She is survived by a loving family and husband of 46 years, Martin Potter; children, Shawn Hummel, Brandon Potter and Vanessa Durfee; sister, Carol Williams; brother –in-law, Dwight Williams; mother-in-law, Florence Potter; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Williams; 5 grandchildren who loved her very much, Seth, Noah, Nathan Hummel, Danica and David Durfee and a very special friend, Margaret Shanklin and extended host of nieces, nephews, cousins and church family and close friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge, TN.
