Betty Goad

Betty Goad, age 71 of the Annadale community, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday January 17, 2025. She attended Roane State Community College for two years. Betty had a love for fishing, flowers, and life in general, but strongest of all was the love she had for her nurses, friends, and her family.

She was preceded in death her parents Ben and Barbara Bingham; siblings Charles, Bennie Joe, John, Bobby, Marget VanNorstran, Ann Louise Bingham, and Janice Carol Bingham; husband Clyde Goad; special nephew Gregory VanNorstran.

She is survived by her companion, Jerry Jones; children: Lisa, Matthew, and Lil’ Wayne Jones, and Tammy and Clyde Goad, Jr.; grandchildren: Keyara Steinmetz, Ty’Varion Pryor, and Myia Pryor; sister, Mary Sue Lewis; nieces: Kasslen, Carla, and Vanessa Jones, and Emily VanNorstran; nephews: Doug Lewis, Chris Bingham, Wendell VanNorstran and Zach VanNorstran; and great-nieces: Azalea Underwood and Amelia Underwood. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses who took such great care of Betty during her illness. 

The family will receive friends Monday January 20, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1:00, Bro. Buster Armes officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at the Family Cemetery in the Annadale Community.
