Bert Hooper of Sunbright, TN

Our dad and granddad, Bert Hooper, Sr., went to meet his loved ones in Heaven on November 29, 2021.  He walked this earth for 94 years and saw many earthly changes during his lifetime.  His greatest comfort was knowing his children were safe and well.  He worked many years with cable TV, where he took so much pride in his work.  He was a hard worker and always willing to help anyone in need.  Our dad was the glue to our family, and he will be painfully missed for days to come.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Hooper; father & mother, Henry and Eliza Hooper; 3 sisters, Mildred Height, Beulah Derrington, and Mary Powell.

He is survived by his children, Eddie and Mandi Hooper, Rebecca Hooper, and Beth Hooper and fiancé, Gary Durham; 1 sister, Gail Hooper of Brownsville, TN.; 5 grandchildren, Brandon & Derek Hooper, Miranda (Brian) Conlon, Meghan (Jonathan) Dagley and Hannah (Matt) Himes; 8 great grandchildren, Mason, Grace, Derek, Tinslee, Hooper, Preslyn, Jonalyn, and Creed; 1 great great grandson, Mavrick and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Buddy Tharp officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery.
