Barbara Jones

Mrs. Barbara Thornton Jones went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2013 at her home in Wartburg in the presence of her children.

Ms. Barbara will be remembered as a Cook at Central Elementary and Central High School for twenty seven years. She was lovingly known as "Ms. Barbara" to all the children. Her passion was cooking and feeding everyone she came in contact with. Ms. Barbara was a faithful life-time member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Ms. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Luther (Luke) Jones, Daughter: Mary Martha, Parents: Charles and Martha Thornton and Fourteen Brothers and Sisters.

Ms. Barbara is survived by her children, Kay Harney of Wartburg, Eula Knight of Wartburg, David Jones of Harriman, and Dewey Jones of Wartburg.

She was very proud of her Five Generations of family.
Ms. Barbara also leaves behind a host of friends and neighbors.
She will be and has been GREATLY missed.
Her last wish was for each one to meet her in Heaven someday.

The family had received friends on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services was on Sunday at Liberty Baptist Church at 2:30PM with Dr. Paul Frick officiating. Interment was in the Liberty Church Cemetery.
