Anna Marie Annis (Copelin) , 81, of Louisville Kentucky, Aberdeen North Carolina, and Knoxville Tennessee, born August 26, 1935 in Chatham Township Illinois passed away peacefully Monday, September 26 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville Kentucky.
After graduating from high school she worked as an executive secretary for an engineering firm in downtown Chicago. She earned her college associate degree at night school and moved to Larsen, Wisconsin where she and her husband owned several businesses. She was a member of the Covenant Primitive Baptist church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and also a member of the County Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Copelin, her husband, David Annis, who she married in Chicago, Illinois, in 1976, and her loving sister Virginia Marks.
Anna Marie is survived by her son, USAF Colonel (Ret) Matthew Martorano, his wife Diana Martorano, their two children, Dr Melissa Schutt (Justin), Ashley Elchert (Jeffrey), and her four great grandchildren, Kendley Elchert, Miles Elchert, Lylah Schutt, and Haydee Schutt. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Ruth Yetsko, Mary Sanders, Marty Copelin, Sharon Petersen, and Kristine Hankins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral services will be Friday, 10 am Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg, with Elder Jimmy Barber officiating, interment will follow in the Mossy Grove Primitive Cemetery, Harriman, TN
