Amy Smith Gibbs

Amy Louise Smith Gibbs, age 54, of Oakdale, TN, went to be with the Lord on August 11,2024.

Amy was outgoing, loved spending time with her family, and loved to travel. Her love for travel led to her getting her CDL license to drive a semi-truck to fulfill her dream of traveling the United States. Amy spent much of her career using her loving, compassionate heart to serve as a dispatcher for Oliver Springs Police Dept. & Morgan County Sheriff’s Dept. Amy never met a stranger and treated everyone, she met with a kind heart & glowing smile. She was currently a dispatcher at SRM Ready Mix of Knoxville, TN. Amy was a member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Benton Harry Smith of Oakdale, TN, and her husband Daniel Martin Gibbs of Oakdale, TN.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine (Collett) Smith of Oakdale, TN.; sons Josh (Marli) Smith of Oakdale, TN., and Jared Smith of Oakdale, TN.; brothers Greg (Valerie) Smith of Sparta, TN. , Todd (April) Smith of Oakdale, TN., Chris (Barbara) Diamond of Fredericksburg, VA., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Amy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother & friend. She will be greatly missed. 

The family will receive friends at Schubert Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Orchard Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakdale with Bro. Ronnie Nichols officiating.
