Alice Whitus

Alice Lucille Whitus, age 99, went home to the Lord on October 30, 2013.
Alice was born in Arkansas and came to Oak Ridge, TN in 1944 to work. In 1945 she married T.R. Whitus and they began housekeeping in Petros, TN. T. R. preceded her in death in 1972. Alice lived in Petros until 2007 when she moved to Greenfield Senior Living in Oak Ridge. Alice had faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Petros United Methodist Church where she was active for over 60 years. She was also the Petros Librarian for 45 years.
Alice is survived by her two sons and their spouses: Thomas and Pam and Bobby and Cheryl
Grandchildren: Matthew and wife Sunshine, Anna and Andrew
Three Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Brylan and Tanner

The family will receive friends, Friday, November 1, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00PM with Rev. John Justice officiating. Graveside Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Wartburg City Cemetery.
