Albert Ruppe of Kingston, TN

Albert “Martin” Ruppe 76, of Kingston entered into the arms of the Lord on October 4, 2017 after a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Cartie; brother, Romane; sisters, Lorraine Luffman, Lou Reva Luffman and O.V. Mckinney.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy; son, Marty (Carla) of Lutherville, GA, Michael (Loretta) of Oakdale, TN and Brandon of Sharpsburg, GA., step-son, Eddie Dorlan; brothers, Henry of CA., Raymond of Oakdale, TN, Billy (Faye) of Harriman, TN.; sisters, Barbara Chapman of Wartburg, Bonita Jones of Harriman, Virgil Lee (Larry) of Fayetteville, GA.; grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Flora) of Newnan, GA., Jessica Welborn (Adam) of Cleveland, TN., Cody of Newnan, GA., Kyle Hendrix of Griffin, GA., Tyler Hendrix USMC, granddaughter, Taylor Ivey of Newnan, GA., and Lily Grace Ruppe of Alvaton, GA., great grandchildren, Jenson, Jared and Aiden of Newnan, GA. Many many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special friend, James Easterling and Larry Parsons.

Martin was a 1961 graduate of Oakdale High School and retired from the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant in Atlanta, GA. He was a generous Christian man who loved the Lord, NHRA drag racing and high school football. Martin never met a stranger and his family and friends have 100’s of “Martin” stories to tell.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. Tim Ruppe and Danny Jenkins officiating. Interment to follow in the Camp Austin Cemetery in Oakdale, TN.

Pall bearers are Cody Ruppe, Kyle Ruppe, Alan and Aaron Jones, Clay and David Morris and honorary pall bearer, Larry Parsons.
