Agnes Hennessee

Mrs. Agnes Buxton Hennessee, age 94 of Wartburg, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in the Morgan County Life Care Center in Wartburg. She was a 61 year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wartburg. She was born January 1, 1917 in Lancing, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. She was a teacher and librarian at Central Elementary School in Wartburg until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Stone Wilhite Hennessee, Sr. and eldest son Stone Wilhite Hennessee Jr.

She is survived by sons, David (Bernice) Hennessee of Wartburg, Bill Hennessee of Nashville; daughter, Linda (Dallas) Taylor of Wartburg; grandchildren, Martin Hennessee, Mary (Brian) Hatmaker, Cindy (Curt) Williams, Patrick Hennessee, Brett Taylor and Bryan Taylor; Great grandchildren, Jordan and Megan Williams, Stone and Luke Hatmaker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 with Reverend Stephan Skov officiating. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
